How fast is your website?

Google's PageSpeed Insights API, which runs a full Lighthouse audit on a real browser in Google's infrastructure. It is the same engine behind the PageSpeed Insights site and it feeds the page experience signals Google uses in ranking. We do not estimate or simulate anything.

Google treats 90 and above as good, 50 to 89 as needing improvement, and below 50 as poor. Mobile scores are almost always lower than desktop because the test simulates a mid-range phone on a throttled connection. Do not panic at a low mobile number: that is normal, and it is also where most of your visitors are.

The mobile test deliberately simulates a slower device and network. Heavy JavaScript, large uncompressed images and render-blocking scripts hurt far more under those conditions. That gap is not a quirk of the test, it is what a real customer on a phone in a rural area actually experiences.

Three measurements Google uses to judge page experience. Largest Contentful Paint is how long until the main content appears. Cumulative Layout Shift measures whether things jump around while loading. Total Blocking Time approximates how long the page is unresponsive to taps and clicks. We show all three alongside the overall score.

Google rate-limits the analysis API. If several people run tests at once you may hit that limit briefly. Waiting a minute and retrying almost always works.
