Lines by JD had no online presence at all and ran entirely on word-of-mouth. We built their first site early on and it did its job. But the business grew past driveways into parking lots, private roads, grading and ADA work across two states, and a single page describing "asphalt services" could not rank for any of it.

We rebuilt the site on Astro, driving it from content collections so eight services — paving, tar and chip, sealcoating, line striping, crack sealing, patching, grading and excavating, ADA compliance — cross with eight markets across Southwest Virginia and the Surry and Stokes county side of North Carolina. Someone searching sealcoating in Wytheville lands on a page about sealcoating in Wytheville. Quote requests come in through an API route with Turnstile screening the spam, and every page generates its own share image.

A steady source of new business inquiries, and a client we have now built for twice. The service-by-market structure gives a small contractor a page for each job they actually want, instead of competing on one broad term against companies many times their size.
